Hertz Online Reservation Terms and conditions: This reservation is based on information you have provided Hertz, including information regarding your current geographic location.

Hertz reserves the right to demand proof of what you have told them. In particular, if you have indicated that you are located outside your country of residence, you may, at the time of rental, be required to prove where you were when this reservation was made, through evidence such as an air or rail carrier ticket receipt, a hotel bill or a utility bill addressed to you at the location where you say you were. Failure to provide such substantiation may invalidate the rates you have been quoted, or invalidate the entire reservation. Providing false information to Hertz in connection with this reservation would also breach your rental agreement and could violate the law. Toll Services New Hertz Toll Day Pass The new Hertz Toll Day Pass is being introduced on September 15 and covers all toll charges under one daily amount, so drivers don't need to worry about keeping records of tollways and sorting out payments via various websites. No subsequent toll charges or administration fees will apply, and many drivers will save money as they need to use numerous tollways.

Travellers can choose the Hertz Toll Day Pass at any time during their rental. Charges for this service will appear on the invoice at the end of the rental period. Due to varying toll prices in different States, from February 1 the Hertz Toll Day Pass will be calculated based on the State where you collect your car. Rates for passenger vehicles are: • Victoria: $14.30 per rental day including GST • South Australia: $12.10 per rental day including GST • New South Wales and ACT: $16.50 per day including GST • Queensland: $11.10 per day including GST Heavy vehicles incur a higher variable toll charge per rental day due to higher toll prices. Longer Term Rentals For longer term rentals that may have infrequent toll usage, there is an alternative option that records all toll roads on which the vehicle has been used during the rental.

The actual toll amounts and a matching fee will be charged along with an administration fee of $16.50* incl GST per 30 day rental, which will be invoiced by Hertz shortly after the rental has concluded. Hertz will now invoice all toll usage directly, so renters will no longer be billed by any third parties such as Roam Express and all charges will only appear on Hertz issued invoices. Pertyy much every car I've rented has charged for me as seond driver, even though I and a 'spouse'. Now the cost of gas is so high, you can get round this witha gold/premium package fo ful tank of fuel plus 103 drivers for about $40-50, which used to be expensive for US drivers but is now worthwhile. Don't know if you can book alamo gold, dollar plat or other schemes if you dont buy the insurance though. I know you don't as you are covered at home, but in the UK the car is covered only for the named drivers, and the drivers aren't covered anywhere else in general. Which is why we buy the insurances.
