I looked at my charging stats using 'Battery' app. Charging on my Qi pad, I get 7% charge in *60* minutes. When plugged in to AC electrical outlet with supplied cord, I get 30% in 60 minutes. Pasco Capstone Keygen Mac.

That Qi charging rate is terrible, not worth it to even use it, I'd just as soon plug the damn thing in.I bought some cheap barebones qi charging modules, just the coil and pcb board, for about $5 each on eBay. So far they do a decent job, charging at a steady rate of 18% to 21% and then keeping it at 100% until I pick it up. O/c, I had to build a cradle, but anyone with basic skills can do something ok with wood. I found the positioning had to be pretty much spot on, or the charging rate drops fast. The modules I bought do the job, but I will go for better quality modules next time - these are finicky. In any case, that's not the problem here: • Phone is at 100% when picked up from charger • Phone crashes/reboots within a 1/2 hour • After reboot, phone has lost about 50% of its charge instantly - shows averaged since last recharge, but I bet the battery level was fine before the crash/reboot.

• Phone is cool to the touch - if it had burned 50% of the battery in 20 minutes it would be very hot. • Manual reboot did not restore the battery level • Removing the battery then booting did reset the battery level to what it really is, i.e.: 95% or more • Previous step not absolutely necessary as charging the phone later in the day had restored the correct battery level last time; however charging right after the reboot charges normally, but battery level is not reset. Can't confirm if wireless charging is involved or not, but this never happened before I started wireless charging. What worries me is if the phone reports the battery is at 50% when it's actually at 95%, and keeps on charging until it thinks it's at 100%, won't it push the battery to 95+50 = 145% charge, and set it on fire or badly damage it at best? Last edited by fgaudet; at 01:19 PM. Reason: Arg, wrong thread! I have two phones with QI, a L820 with QI-shell & a L830.

(A L930 will arrive to my Lumia collection tomorrow:) ) I bought two NILLKIN Magic Disk II wireless charger + two Champion USB 2A chargers. Unfortunately I can't post links yet.:( I have only had them a few days, so my experience is not so long. -The L820 will charge quite well to 100% then the charger stops charging. The phone are medium warm after a charge. -The L830 gets very very warm. So I'm not so fond of using the Nillkin Magic Disk II for that phone. But that phone is also charged to 100% (most of the times, not always & I don't understand why) & then it stops charging.

So the phones are not always at 100% charge when removing them from charging. This since the chaging stops when 100%. So I'm not 100% satisfied. I thought the QI was a general standard that was possible to trust.
